I just find I'm asking myself the question more and more why we make Christianity so damn hard...
Feed the hungry, clothe the naked, heal the sick, visit those in prisons, take care of the widows and orphans.
This isn't rocket science people... do we deliberately try to complicate things so that we can pretend we don't really know what we are supposed to be doing?
but it's just oh-so-much easier to write a check than to put ourselves out there.

OH YES HCM!!!!! You don't know how many times I have said that same thing! Its as if we are trying to out source Christianity! How do you out source a hug?
And not only that, we can write our big fat check every so often around Christmas and Easter and go to bed feeling justified, rather than pay our workers a livable wage... God forbid we would allow people the dignity for providing for their own families...
