A few years ago, Rosa Parks was at the church of which I am a part. She was standing in our lobby, along with about 20 other people, when she said, "I'm tired, could I take a seat." I had the priveledge of finding a chair for her to take a seat in and rest. I almost wept.
Having recently started a position at a southern history museum, I have a newfound appreciation for heroic individuals like Rosa Parks who helped create whatever good there is in the south and our society as a whole.
